This past weekend there was a hugely successful beach clean up with more participants than we’ve ever had. The weather at Arenal Beach was beautiful and the volunteers picked up tons of garbage, a lot of which was sent to the recycling plant in Las Tablas to be recycled.
Afterwards, following tradition, there was a hot dog cookout where the Scouts and other attendees filled up on dogs and drinks.
Thanks to Casita Margarita Hotel for letting us use the grill, and Jose (in yellow) the barbeque master for cooking the grub!
A huge thank you to the rest of the participants who made it down to help out! Your help is much appreciated. Also thanks to the Mayor’s office of Pedasi, the Police of Pedasi, ANAM, ARAP, and The Scouts of Pedasi for arranging and participating in the cleanup. And lastly, huge gratitude for all the donations that came in and made this possible!
Let us know if you’d like to participate in or organize a beach cleanup while you’re studying with us here at Buena Vida Language School. It’s great fun, super rewarding, AND you get to practice your Spanish!
